Your skills
- 2–5 years of datacenter, network, or smart hands experience
- Strong knowledge of network and hardware infrastructure
- Willingness to commute long distances between customer sites
- Availability to support rotational schedules or on-call coverage when required
- CCNA or equivalent networking certification required
- Experience with routers, switches, and physical network installations
- Ability to work independently in mission-critical environments
- This role is a Salary Non-Exempt position with a targeted salary range of $65,000 – $70,000 USD
Your tasks
Hemmersbach is seeking an experienced Network / Datacenter Smart Hands Field Engineer to provide onsite support within datacenter, laboratory, and network environments. The role focuses on physical infrastructure support, network operations assistance, and hands-on troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform cable tracing, hardware replacement, rack-and-stack activities, and power cycling
Support servers, storage devices, network equipment, and datacenter infrastructure
Assist with LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VoIP, switches, routers, and firewalls
Maintain cable management, labelling, inventory, and UPS validation activities
Support datacenter operations, migrations, and infrastructure projects
Document work and update ServiceNow tickets in accordance with SLA requirements
