Hemmersbach Rhino Force

With Hemmersbach Rhino Force we protect creatures that can’t protect themselves: African rhinos are brought close to extinction due to heavy poaching. If we don’t act now, their fascinating species will become extinct within a decade. This is why we take Direct Action. With own elite troops, our CryoVault biobank, and our community projects, we secure a future for critically endangered wildlife.

Anti-poaching

Hemmersbach Rhino Force fights poachers with own elite troops and state-of-the-art technology – and if necessary, our rangers also keep them at a distance by force of arms. Out in the bush, our colleagues risk their lives every day to ensure the survival of the rhinos and other wildlife. Of course, protecting the animals is the most important aspect of this mission. At the same time, we take care that we do not have to harm the poachers - and that our rangers themselves remain safe.

Elite rangers and high-tech protection

Our Direct Action Hemmersbach Rhino Force deploys elite rangers equipped with cutting-edge technology to fight poachers. Our rangers put their lives on the line every day to ensure the safety of rhinos and other endangered wildlife. In addition to their physical training and expertise, our AI-supported trap cams help us identify threats early, enabling swift action. Drones, tracker dogs, and specialized vehicles ensure an immediate response to poacher activity, preventing them from getting anywhere near the rhinos. We use force only when necessary, always prioritizing the safety of both our rangers and the animals.

Training and K-9 Units: unmatched commitment

To stay ahead of poachers, our rangers undergo rigorous physical training, enhancing their endurance, resilience, and anti-poaching skills. This ensures that they are always prepared for the challenges they face in the field. Our K-9 Unit plays a crucial role in the success of our operations. Specially trained dogs track poachers with incredible precision, even in dense bush, ensuring that no threat goes unnoticed. These dogs are integral to our fight against poaching, working side-by-side with our rangers in the relentless pursuit of those who threaten wildlife.

Protecting all wildlife

Although rhinos are the focus of our efforts, Hemmersbach Rhino Force also plays a significant role in the protection of other endangered species. Through our wildlife rescue operations, we actively safeguard animals like the pangolin, the most trafficked animal in the world. By extending our efforts beyond rhinos, we ensure that all vulnerable species receive the protection they deserve.

Cryovault: securing the future of rhinos

At Hemmersbach Rhino Force, we are not only focused on the present; we’re also investing in the future of the rhino population through our Cryovault project. This innovative initiative involves the collection and cryopreservation of rhino sperm, eggs, and biological material from both living and deceased animals. By building the world’s largest genetic reservoir for African rhinos, we ensure genetic diversity for future reproductive efforts, supporting the survival of rhinos for generations to come.

Community engagement and conservation

We believe in a holistic approach to conservation, which includes supporting local communities. Through various initiatives, we provide education and employment alternatives to poaching, raise awareness about wildlife conservation, and improve living conditions for people in Southern Africa.

In Mozambique, for example, we offer locals legal alternatives to poaching, helping them build sustainable livelihoods. Through our community work project, we train people in permaculture on a dedicated piece of land, teaching them how to grow vegetables organically with minimal water and maximum harvest.

By addressing poverty – the root cause of poaching – we support both local communities and wildlife.

The road ahead: securing a future for rhinos and wildlife

With Hemmersbach Rhino Force, the fight for wildlife preservation is never over. Each success motivates us to keep moving forward, with every action aimed at preventing extinction. From our elite rangers and state-of-the-art technology to our community-driven initiatives and innovative biobank, we are committed to securing a future for endangered species in Southern Africa. Together, we can make a lasting difference – because protecting rhinos means protecting our natural world.
