Your skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a Customs Specialist or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian customs laws, international trade regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience working with Indian customs clearance systems and classification of goods under HS codes.
  • Solid understanding of import/export documentation.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in customs filings and documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex customs issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

Your tasks

  • Oversee customs compliance for all import/export shipments between our Legal Entities worldwide, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Act as the main liaison with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and internal departments to coordinate efficient customs clearance processes.
  • Stay up to date on changes to countries‘ customs regulations, tariffs, and international trade policies, ensuring the company's ongoing compliance.
  • Review and classify goods in accordance with Harmonized System (HS) codes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to monitor and manage customs duties, taxes, and related fees, ensuring proper accounting and cost control.
  • Address and resolve customs-related inquiries, discrepancies, and operational issues in a timely manner.
  • Prepare, maintain, and archive accurate customs documentation to support audits and compliance checks.
  • Provide guidance and support to other departments regarding customs requirements, duty structures, and trade compliance best practices.
  • Work closely with regional and global teams to implement continuous improvements in customs processes and compliance standards.
