Job description

Mobile Technical Engineer to provide mobile support within the M25 circular to our teams and sites within the given region.

You ensure that fault calls are responded to and completed within a timely and professional manner, providing support to all customer sites within your region.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Responding to Customer fault calls in an efficient and professional manner.
Completing all calls within the required SLA timeframe.
Detecting faults and providing efficient and effective solutions.
Maintaining internal call database to ensure effective call management procedures.
Effective working relationships with on site engineers and call management co-ordinators.
Ordering replacement equipment when required.
Maintaining communication channels with the customer and call-management co-ordinators.
Providing on-site support for colleagues that are on leave.
Representing Hemmersbach at its Customers’ sites.

Job requirements

Extensive understanding of Windows OS (XP/2000).
Understanding OS processes and application processes.
Understanding OS structures (system folders, native os application purposes & location of user specific data).
Good Understanding of Windows domains.
Good understanding of Networking.
Good understanding of active directory.
Good understanding of Windows profile and how users interact with roaming profiles.
Knowledge of basic Windows tools.
Understanding of accessing and manipulating Windows registry.
Symantec Anti-Virus knowledge.
Virus containment and managing out-breaks.
VPN/WAN knowledge.
Knowledge of VOIP phones.
Machine builds and deployment.
Printer maintenance and configuration.
Experience of HP Multifunction printers.
Understanding of ODBC and DB driven applications.
Use of software deployment tools to remotely install software.
Knowledge of DNS/WINS.
Citrix hardware setup and fault diagnosis.
Data burning and encryption.
Certificate installations.
Server Software maintenance.
Demonstrates customer orientated approach placing the customer at centre of all actions
Ability to use initiative and work autonomously
Tactful and clear communicator
Able to work under pressure and to deadline whilst maintaining quality
Demonstrates solution orientated method of operation
Undertake onsite reporting and administration requirements.
Experience of working with helpdesk and ticket management systems with the ability to manage and prioritise call queues
Building and deploying assets using business core loads
Managing and tracking business refresh
